Untitled at the Whitney is one of our favorite restaurants, so I wasn’t surprised when my son Kyle picked it for family dinner the other night. Although it’s a delicious, grown-up restaurant (part of the Danny Meyer restaurant group), they’re super kid-friendly with a special kids menu and coloring pages and crayons for younger guests.
Kyle decided that he wanted to look fancy for our night out, so he picked what he calls a “work shirt” (a button down) worn over cargo pants with sneakers. His idea of dressing up! Lol!
Whether you go to Untitled for brunch before or after a museum visit, or simply for dinner if you happen to be in the Meatpacking District at night, you’ll love the bright, airy, open space. Large glass walls on all sides make you feel that you’re outside even though you’re cozy and warm indoors.
The menu changes often as they keep up with what’s in season, but a few staples stand out. The Untitled burger is always on the menu and it’s amazing! For kids, our family’s favorite is the fried chicken with ketchup – an absolute crowd-pleaser every time.
My own personal brunch favorite is the buckwheat crepe with scrambled eggs. The French toast is delicious too.
For dessert, grownups and kids alike love the triple chocolate chunk cookie, served warm with a little glass of milk (can be replaced with almond milk). It’s heaven on a plate!
